Satellite capacity

The provision of satellite capacity to holders of a telecommunications service concession and/or authorization operating in the country may only be executed by national or foreign people who are listed in the registry of providers of satellite capacity.

This procedure is automatically approved and the registry is valid for fifteen years.

In the case of providers of satellite capacity that use geostationary satellites, it is a requirement to register them in the Andean Satellite List, which must be proven by presenting the Registration Certificate granted by the General Secretariat of the Andean Community for each satellite.
